Chapter 2: SVS FOUR BANGER
The SVS Four Banger (Sonic Voodoo Spaceship) is a class IV hydrogen-enforced radial bitronoleum (H.E.R.B.) fueled cosmic vehicle. It was a "gift" to MDMI Codename: Sonic Voodoo from the Intergalactic Council after the original lunar vehicle, the infamous SVS T-120, was destroyed in a crash landing episode.
The Council was hesitant to provide a primate-derived life-form with any further equipment, especially given the destructive tendencies displayed with previous ill-gotten alien technology. But with the assurances of Mad Dog, and a non-refundable security bond of 1.987 trillion mega-quartz Delarios, the Council reluctantly decided to take one more chance. After all, the MDMI was comprised primarily of species that were non-primate in nature, so the qualities that they found so repulsive in humans were not much of a factor in their decision. Plus, they had always liked Mad Dog and his underground movement of renegade monkey-men, and they knew that the MDMI was their only hope of ever peacefully introducing galactic intelligence into Earth creatures.
The SVS Four Banger is quite a bit bigger than the SVS T-120. The most noticeable difference is that it has four sub-cygronic engines, while the T-120 had only one. The T-120 had great acceleration, and was really useful for travelling between the Earth and the lunar base. But, because of its fuel-rate-consumption, it could not travel much further than that. The Four Banger, on the other hand, has a much bigger bitronic oxygen web-larygizer (B.O.W.L.) fuel cell and can travel at least eighty-six vectors before it needs to be re-fueled. Although the SVS Four Banger can not travel at ultra-hyperspace without a fifth sub-cygronic engine, it can still zip to Pluto and back in the speed of a quark’otron, which is enough of a hyperspace trip to blow most people's minds. |
